- ABSTRACT
Archaeological wood samples found in the lake of Charavines (Isère, France)
were analysed with dendroclimatical methods. Two species were found: The Beech
(Fagus sylvatica) and the White Fir (Abies alba). The trees were
cut with a lag of 6 years, and both chronologies show similar variations,
suggesting that the trees were growing in the same site.
